ATCS (automatic tape calibration system) is adopted in order to use the tape in the best condition.
In ATCS, the calibration of the level (recording sensitivity) and bias of each tape is automatically set by the microcomputer, so that Dolby malfunction due to variation in tape performance can be prevented, and any tape can be used in the best condition.
Logical flow construction is used for internal construction to minimize the signal path.
The KX-5010 uses an extension shaft to position the REC volume near the input terminal to minimize the signal path and prevent degradation of sound quality due to signal line impedance. It also uses an extremely high-quality mini-detent volume to prevent degradation of sound quality due to volume brush resistors.
In addition, rubber couplings are used for the joints of the extension shaft and the volume shaft to prevent vibration from the panel surface from being transmitted to the volume.
